REDTAIL CATTLE COMPANY

Our Farm

This all started with a five-year-old and a dream.

She dreamed of working with cattle, of showing, of building something of her own. Her family believed in her enough to step in beside her—and what started as one little girl's dream has become a family effort.

Today, the whole family puts in the work. There are early mornings, long days, muddy boots, barn chores, grooming, hauling, learning, and plenty of moments that never make it into the show ring. Kensley is the showman, but this is a family farm.

The dream is still growing, and so is she. What began with a five-year-old chasing a dream is becoming reality, one day and one head of cattle at a time.

How We Got Our Name

Some names are chosen. Ours found us.

The field where we make hay is home to a family of red-tailed hawks. Every year when it's time to make hay, they come out to visit — watching over the field and becoming part of a familiar tradition on the farm.

One of those moments was captured in this photo, with a redtail perched on a fresh round bale.

That field, those hawks, and those yearly visits became the inspiration behind the name Redtail Cattle Company.

It's a small piece of our farm that has been here from the beginning — and one we hope will remain part of the Redtail story for generations to come.
